LESS INTENSE, MORE FLEETING than fall foliage, spring presents a subtle, yet electric, complement to the thick, fiery hues of fall. These sugar and red maples will leaf out in a matter of days, dissolving to a rich green that will overpower early spring’s muddy umbers and hide the housing development on the ridge.
