UPON FURTHER ABSTRACTION
THE SUMMER SQUASH is dying down, but the tomatoes multiply and apple season has arrived.
The gardens are filled with tall spikes of purple butterfly bush and blue lobelia and electric blooms of orange cosmos, tithonia, and marigold.
The last of the day lilies will be gone this week, and the phlox are beginning to sputter. White clematis and bush clover and pink aster will take over in September.
As I clear the decks to transition to a new season of painting, here are some works I completed over the summer.

All of them beautiful, all of them original. I noticed how starkly different the second painting in this series is from the very first one. I kinda thought the second one would be similar to the first one, but not at all. So that difference popped me right into attention to the rest of the paintings. I need to win the lottery so that I can buy tons of these paintings.
Thank you, Damaris! Much appreciated, as always. I hope you win the lottery, too!! How’s that leg coming?
I love the colors and motion of these works
Thank you for the kind words and feedback. Much appreciated.
