SOME PERSON with a very different conception of the meaning of life hacked my email account several days ago, sending spurious and potentially dangerous messages to many of my friends, and erasing my entire list of contacts, numbering more than 400.
Fortunately, most of the recipients recognized the fraud for what it was, and either checked with me before trying to open the message or simply deleted it. Over time and with hours of slow, repetitive work, I will be able to recreate my contact lists and various groups. But if you have not heard from me for awhile and would like to, just send me a new email and I will get you back on the distribution list.
FOR THE PAST WEEK, this website has also been down, a byproduct of my change in address from russellpowell.co to russpowell.net. The reason for the change was financial, and the reason for the down time was financial, too — unbeknownst to me the service providers wanted more money to make the switch, not to mention requiring me to jump through several obscure bureaucratic hoops.
But all is well again in cyberspace, or so it seems. To bring it back to earth, here are a few recent paintings dating back to the summer. Enjoy, and as always I welcome your feedback and comments.
Some very, very nice paintings, Russ.
Thank you Peggy!
