I AM MAKING final preparations this week for my exhibit of oil and acrylic paintings at Goodwin Memorial Library, 50 Middle St., Hadley, Massachusetts, which opens next Monday, January 12, through Saturday, March 7. An opening reception will be Saturday, January 17, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
For you early birds, this Sunday, January 11, I will be a guest on the Boston Sunday Review on CBS Radio FM 98.5, the Sports Hub, talking about Apples of New England. The public affairs program airs from 7:20 a.m. to 8 a.m.
Later in the month, on Thursday, January 22, at 7 p.m., I will give a reading from and sign copies of Apples of New England at Porter Square Books, 25 White St., Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Here are a few recent paintings.
Seaweed I and II, oil on canvas, diptych, 24×16
Congratulations on all your appearances this month–in person or on canvas.
Thank you, Jan!
They feel more complex now. I loved seeing your work on the walls. It’s very different from seeing them on my computer screen. On a wall, they talki to me.
Thank you Damaris! I was so glad you were able to attend the opening. The paintings are much different in real life rather than reduced to a computer screen, especially with my interest in the tactile–brush strokes and texture.
