Thank you, Jan! Part of an ongoing process around painting with greater purpose. Note the date–2010–this was painted in the dunes, as was the previous post, Rose Hip (from this year). I have an even earlier colored-pencil sketch of a tomato from the dunes that I may post later with a contemporary tomato painting. For whatever reasons, I paint with greater realism in the dunes. I am also eager to return to subjects that are near and dear to me to see how I’ve grown.
Love this wonderful painting! Blueberries and seed, textures are perfect. Composition is very effective! How does this work feel to you ?

I love this! It made my mouth water.
You captured the essence of a summer breakfast.
Glad to hear it! That was why I posted it, though it is not a new painting. It illustrates part of an ongoing development, too. Many thanks.
