THE LONG VIEW, acrylic on canvas, 18×24

THE LONG VIEW and WISH YOU WERE HERE have been selected for the juried exhibit ‘LandEscape,’ at Artworks Gallery, 69 Main St., Ware, Mass., June 27 through August 2.

The exhibition aims to “expand or even reimagine the traditional landscape as a personal sanctuary … moving beyond mere geographical representation.”

There will be an opening reception this Saturday, June 27, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Artworks Gallery is part of Ware’s arts initiative, Workshop 13. Exhibit hours are Saturdays and Sundays, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

  1. These two are among my most favorites of recent months, for color, land and form definition, intimacy and scope. REALLY like these. It was a joy to see these in the studio as well. They may be standouts in the moment, but the work arrayed is amazing and beautiful.

    1. Many thanks! I’m grateful for the opportunity to post small digital images online, but as you note there is nothing like seeing the paintings in their real size and texture. These took years, btw, and many attempts before I got them right.
