‘Through the Reeds’ Chosen for ‘Along the Coast’

THROUGH THE REEDS, oil on canvas, 18×24

THROUGH THE REEDS has been accepted by the Rhode Island Watercolor Society‘s online juried exhibit, “Along the Coast.” The show will be posted on the Society’s Facebook page Saturday, August 8.

“Coastlines act as an extraordinary boundary between worlds,” the Society writes, “where the vast, dynamic ocean meets scenic beaches and staggering cliffsides. In this exhibition, artists were asked to explore the beauty, serenity, and power of nature’s coasts through their unique perspective.”

  1. Russell, It’s terrific “Through the Reeds” was Chosen for “Along the Coast.” it’s a wonderful vivid painting. You can feel the reeds pushing up through the surrounding banks and emerging into the water. They are so alive!

    1. Thank you so much. It’s a terrific show–I’m in good company. Too bad it is online only and not in a gallery. That’s where my work shows best!
